1955-

Rear-Admiral Pearce was born in Valparaíso, Chile, on 19 July 1955. He studied at the German School in Valparaíso. Then he attended "Arturo Prat" Naval Academy and he graduated as Sub-Lieutenant on January 1st, 1974.

He is a specialist in Staff and Electric Naval Engineering. He holds the professional degree of Electric Naval Engineer and graduated in Naval and Maritime Sciences with a major in Electric Naval Engineering. He is a M.S. in Administration and Logistics, a Diploma holder in Finance from the Catholic University of Valparaíso and M. S. in Systems Management with a major in Administration and Finance, obtained at the NPS Post-Graduate School, USA Navy.

Throughout his career on board he performed for more than ten years onboard "Portales" Destroyer, "Capitán Prat" Cruiser, "O’Higgins" Cruiser and "Almirante Montt" Patrol Boat.

Among his shore destinations, he performed as Chief of Department in Engineering Office of Navy, Head of the Building and Constructions Service of the Navy, Head of the Administration and Finance Department in ASMAR Magallanes, he also performed as Straits of Magellan Shipyard General Manager, SAEM, in Catalina Bay, Punta Arenas, Operations Management in ASMAR Administration, General Manager of the Constructing Shipyard, General Manager of the Repair Shipyard and Manager of ASMAR Talcahuano Industrial Plant among 2001 and 2003.

On December 22nd, 2003 he assumed as Shipyard and Workshops Manager of the Navy.

On December 8th, 2003 the Supreme Government granted him the rank of Rear-Admiral.

He is married to Mrs. Moira Cabach Manzano and they have three children.
